DEFINICIJA
1. dostojanstvo koje se zasniva na etičkim načelima, moralni stav koji potiče da se djeluje tako da se stekne poštovanje drugih i sačuva samopoštovanje
2. opće priznanje; počast, uvažavanje
3. moralni dobitak koji izlazi iz kakva važnijeg čina ili pothvata [raditi za čast]
SINTAGMA
sud časti ob. kolegijalno izabrano tijelo koje ocjenjuje je li koji postupak u skladu s dobrim običajima, obvezama itd.
FRAZEOLOGIJA
čast mi je formula pri početku predstavljanja koga ili čega pred slušateljima ili pred gledateljima i čast i mast pejor. iskoristiti sve, izvući svaku korist;
ispod časti (mi je) ne pristoji mi se, čast mi ne dopušta;
