1. glazb. tradicionalna autohtona glazba iz Louisiane (SAD) nastala miješanjem raznih narodnih napjeva izvođenih a capella te plesova uz instrumentalnu pratnju dijatonske harmonike i violine
2. (mn) pripadnici manjinske nacionalne zajednice, potomci francuskih katolika, nastanjeni u državi Louisiani i Maine pošto su bili protjerani iz Akadije krajem 18. st.
