drugi kineski car iz dinastije Ching; Kineskom carstvu pridodao dijelove Mongolije i Sibira te proširio kontrolu nad Tibetom; otvorio sve četiri kineske luke za europsku trgovinu, poticao obrazovanje o europskoj kulturi; zaposlio mnogo jezuitskih, dominikanskih i franjevačkih misionara u Kini; 1692. dozvolio službeno širenje katolicizma
