1. konačan prestanak životnih funkcija organizma i takvo stanje organizma; prestanak života [patološka smrt]
2. pren. a. propast, uništenje čega; umrće b. osjećaj velike neugode [smrt mi je kad se sjetim]
SINTAGMA
biološka smrt med. stanje organizma kada odumiru sva tkiva i organi u tijelu;
klinička smrt med. stanje organizma u kojem funkcioniraju samo disanje i optok krvi;
prividna smrt med. stanje kratkotrajne smrti u kojoj su vitalne funkcije svedene na minimum s najdužim trajanjem 48 sati; zamrlost;
slatka smrt razg. smrt koja nastupa u spolnom aktu
